Sometimes I have emotions
I just can't control
and when the gates come open
the words come tumbling down
I hurt you.
I don't know what to do.
There's something I should say.
But it all comes out cliche.
Are we gonna break down these walls
and run together touch the sky?
Tear the root up from the ground,
Pull the mountain's string.
Are we gonna untie the knot
and let the future come undone
All our fears come alive
I'd love to really love you
but, it's not built in my genes.
and everytime I look at you
I get an ocean in my eyes.
It is like a childhood puzzle
that we never figured out.
We scream and shout,
kiss and hug
but, we never leave the ground.
Often we would love to let our walls down,
to be like chilren again - but something prevents
us from that childish belief that we can fly if we
just let ourselves be free.
These Walls
